- 15 strawberries
- 2 oz part skim mozzarella
- 4 basil leaves
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp brown sugar
- 1 whole grain dinner roll
- Halve the strawberries and chiffonade the basil leaves.
- Add the strawberries, basil, balsamic and brown sugar to a mixing bowl. Toss the ingredients to combine.
- Season the salad with salt and pepper.
- Cut mozzarella into small cubes.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cubes over salad.
- Serve with crusty, whole wheat bread.
Serves 1-2 as a side.
